What we collect
Nothing server-side. This is a static site on GitHub Pages. It has no accounts, no analytics scripts, no advertising, and no server-side database operated by us.
Data stored in your browser
The tools store the following in your browser’s local storage, on your device only: freezer inventory items, temperature-log readings, and your region preference. This data never leaves your device unless you export it. A service worker additionally caches copies of pages and assets on your device so the site works offline; the cache contains only site content, never your data. You can delete everything at any time by clearing site data in your browser; deleting local storage is irreversible unless you exported a backup (backup help).
Third parties
- GitHub Pages serves the site and, like any web host, receives standard request logs (IP address, user agent). See GitHub’s privacy statement.
- Google Fonts serves the two typefaces; font requests go to Google’s servers. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Links to official sources (USDA, FDA, EFSA, FSA) leave this site and are governed by those sites’ policies.
Advertising
This release carries no advertising. If advertising is ever added, this policy will be updated first, a consent mechanism compliant with regional requirements (including the EEA/UK) will be introduced, and ads will never appear in the inventory workspace, on decision screens (keep/discard), or on this page.
